Last month we learned the basics of three classic holiday looks, this month let’s kick it up a notch. With these new techniques you’ll be sure to wow all your party guests. Let’s begin with an Ombré Red Lip, using a lighter red and darker red pencil and lipstick, this look will impress and dazzle.
After applying your lip primer (Don’t forget!), start lining the outside of your lip by using a lighter red lip pencil.
Using a brush, blend the color towards the middle if your lips.
Then, taking the darker lip pencil, line your inner lip blending the color out towards the lighter lip color.
Take your lighter lipstick and apply it over the lighter lip pencil and blend together and out using a feathering motion. Now do the same with the darker lipstick.
Now add a little glittery gloss, preferably sheer, on the middle of your lips to give a highlighted illusion.
Tips: Using a squared brush helps blend the pencil colors
An angled eye liner brush helps to apply precise lip pencils and lipsticks
