While the cancer specialists at Baylor Medical Center at McKinney are experts in diagnosis and treatment, sometimes it’s hearing about the experiences of other cancer survivors that’s key to coping with the disease. If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer, consider joining Baylor McKinney’s Journey to Recovery Support Group. The Group meets every other week from 12 noon to 1:00pm in the Women’s Imaging Conference Room on the second floor of the Physician Office Building adjacent to Baylor McKinney. Please RSVP to Catherine Reidy at 469.764.7008.
Baylor McKinney also offers “Look Good…Feel Better,” a free program from the American Cancer Society designed for women dealing with hair loss and skin changes from chemotherapy and radiation. You will learn specific techniques to help make the most of your appearance while undergoing treatment. You will also receive a makeup package valued at $200! The class will be held at Baylor McKinney 1:00-3:00pm on May 12, August 11, and December 8. To reserve your spot, please call Audrey Thompson at 469.764.6364.
