The McKinney Lady Bulldogs (13-4, 4-0) dropped both games of the Sandra Meadows Classic in Duncanville Friday, losing to Conway (Ark) 54-53 and Killeen Ellison 51-35. North will return to the court Saturday in the final game of the tournament. Its opponent has not been determined.
As the Lady Bulldogs struggled, the boys at North split their two games Friday, defeating Sachse 72-57, but falling to South Oak Cliff 76-65 at the Dallas ISD Coca Cola Tournament. North (12-4, 2-0) will conclude tournament play Saturday.
After a strong performance in the Sherman Holiday Invitational Thursday, the McKinney Boyd Lady Broncos (9-8) put together another strong performance, but fell to Sherman 70-67 Friday at Sherman High School. Boyd will play the final game of its tournament Saturday against an opponent not yet named.
The Boyd boys team was defeated 70-28 Friday at the Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center in Forth Worth. Boyd’s (1-13) opponent was not posted and will play Saturday against an opponent not yet named.
The Lionettes (9-5) had a strong start to the Prosper Holiday Classic Friday, defeating Frisco Heritage 53-50 and Red Oak 48-32 at Prosper High School. McKinney will play in the final game of the tournament Saturday.
The McKinney boys team fell to Austin Bowie 47-49 Friday in the Waco-Midway Tournament. The Lions (6-8) will wrap up the tournament with an early 9 a.m. tip-off against Belton Saturday.
