McKinney High declared Friday “Nicole Quincy Day” and honored the former Lionette player who died in a car accident over the summer prior to their game against Hebron on Friday night.
It was a special night at MHS, even though Hebron would go on to win the contest, 52-34, over the Lionettes. Mariah Mitchell led MHS with 12 points.
McKinney North continued its excellent season with a 59-40 victory over Wylie. Mikaehla Connor scored 15 points and Chanterria Jackson 14 for the Lady Bulldogs.
Powerful Flower Mound Marcus improved to 13-1 after beating McKinney Boyd 52-26. The Lady Broncos trailed 31-7 at the half and never recovered. No Boyd player scored more than five points.
McKinney North blew past Wylie 53-35 on Friday. Steele Douglas led the Bulldogs with 19 points. Jola Otubu added 12 and Julion Pearre 10.
McKinney High blasted Bonham 93-57. The Lions led only 37-31 at the half but opened it up in the final two quarters. EJ Clark scored 24 and Remington Edwards 20 to lead MHS. Preston Smith added 17.
Denton Ryan defeated McKinney Boyd 48-34. The game was tied at 22 at halftime but the Broncos managed only 12 points in the second half. Nick Barber led Boyd with nine points.
