A successful night for MISD’s boys teams saw Boyd whip MacArthur, North top Turner and MHS beat Lake Dallas — by a combined 83 points.
McKinney Boyd 64, Irving MacArthur 48: Ten different players scored for the red-hot Broncos, who were led by Faisal Mansour’s 16 points and Daylon Markham’s 11.
McKinney North 86, Carollton R.L. Turner 36: It was blowout-city for the Bulldogs in the Wylie Tournament and helped the Dawgs bounce back from their tournament-opening 61-53 loss to Conrad on Thursday. Bryson Brown scored 18 and Alex Pelton 17 to lead North past Turner.
McKinney High 76, Lake Dallas 59: The Lions won their second game at the Keller TC/Fossil Ridge Tournament, bouncing back from a tournament-opening 81-72 loss to Wolfforth Frenship. AJ Moutry dominated with 28 points in the win over Lake Dallas.
McKinney Christian 35, Texoma Christian 30: MCA won in the S&S Tournament. Kaelen Malone scored 13 and Zach Bollinger 10 to lead the Mustangs.
McKinney Boyd 63, Rowlett 43: The Lady Broncos pulled away from a close game in the second half. Haley Carruthers’ scored 20 to lead Boyd. Seanna Arredondo scored 14 and Rochelle Vasquez 13.
McKinney North 61, Wylie East 42: Danielle Coleman scored 17 to lead North. Mikaehla Connor added 12 and Amy Kleynhans 10.
Wylie 44, McKinney High 40: The Lionettes lost a close one Friday. Only three players scored for MHS, led by Breana Smalls’ 20. Mariah Mitchell added 14 and Payton Brenham 6.
