Baseball Scoreboard: MHS, North Shut Out District Foes; Boyd Falls at Plano in Walk-Off Fashion

District play continued for all three MISD teams on Tuesday night, with No. 7 North looking to stay perfect at home versus Wylie, MHS looking for its first district win at home versus Plano East, and Boyd looking to break a losing streak at Plano. Below are scores and recaps from each game:

McKinney North:

The No. 7 Bulldogs (4-0) shutout Wylie 6-0 at home on Tuesday night in District 13-4A action. Gabe Constantine was the winning pitcher on the hill for North.

North will travel to Greenville (1-3) on Friday night, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

McKinney Boyd:

The Broncos (0-3) lost at Plano 3-2 on a walk-off RBI triple by Ryan Thomas, losing their third straight District 10-5A contest. Carson Chilton was the losing pitcher for Boyd.

Adrian McFarland and Paxton Larson each doubled in the game for the Broncos.

Boyd will face Plano (3-0) on Friday night at Bronco Field, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

McKinney High:

The Lions (1-2) shut out Plano East 5-0 on Tuesday night, winning their first District 10-5A game of the season. Brad Vassar was the winning pitcher in the game for McKinney.

Garrett Christianson and Trevor Duggan each homered once in the game for the Lions. McKinney held the Panthers to just three hits in the home win.

McKinney will travel to Plano East (0-3) on Friday night, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
