The first meeting of the baseball season between rivals McKinney North and McKinney High was delayed 24 hours until tonight, Wednesday, at 7:30 due to heavy rains early in the day Tuesday.
However, McKinney Boyd was able to play its regularly scheduled game against Garland Naaman Forest, which turned out to be a pitcher’s duel. Naaman Forest won the contest, 3-1, handing Boyd its first loss in District 10-5A. Naaman Forest and the Broncos are 2-1 in district. Evan Williams doubled for Boyd. Cameron Sweeney took the loss on the hill.
