Armed with paints, pens, chalk and even giant rolling pins, dozens of artists and artisans representing every imaginable discipline made their way to downtown McKinney on Saturday to demonstrate their talents during the annual Arts In Bloom Festival.
Downtown guests were able to stroll block after colorful block, perusing outdoor galleries and exhibits, one after another. Most exhibits also featured working artists, eager to share and answer questions about the art at hand.
Several artist and downtown merchants even provided opportunities for downtown patrons to experience first hand various art forms. From working with clay, to painting, to drawing with chalk, artists-in-training gathered together to make a beautiful day even more so with their colorful creations.
Even Mayor Brian Loughmiller gave art a go, chalking up the sidewalk outside the McKinney Performing Arts Center, with a colorful shout-out to Relay For Life.
With warm temperatures, blue skies and gentle spring winds, large crowds enjoyed the downtown festival throughout the day.
Please enjoy the Arts In Bloom Photo Gallery below that captured a few of the memories of the day.
