ACT Starts the Summer Off with Comedy Mystery

(Allen, Texas) Start your summer off with a bang! Or at least some quick-qitted intrigue involving some wacky employees of the Wings Publishing Company, severeal odd characters and plenty of suspicious goins on. Allen’s Community Theatre presents It’s Murder in the Wings! by Pat Cook.

The Wings Publishing Company has seen better days, so assistant editor Maddie (Sherri Small) has coordinated a grand event to sign their biggest client yet – Lionel Upshaw (Braden Jones). There is only one problem – Maddie discovers her boss dead in his office! Not wanting to lose their chance to sign the world-renowned playwright, Maddie enlists her other employees – Tyrolia (Janette Oswald), Kitty (Maxine Frauenheim), and Doris (Nancy Lubertazzo) – to concoct a convulted scheme to hide the murder just until they get a signed contract in hand.

All of their plans go awry when the office continually becomes overrun with party attendees, reporters, and several other strange uninvited guests who do nothing but raise the comedic hijinks for the struggling publishing company staff.

And you’ll never guess who did it! But if you do – you just might win a prize!

It’s Muder in the Wings! is directed by Robyn Mead and is the third show in Allen’s Community Theatre inaugural season. The show runs Fridays and Saturdays, May 25-26 and June 1-2 at The Harvest, 700 Rivercrest Drive in Allen. Curtain goes up at 8 p.m. and ticket proces are $15 adults/$10 students.
