Academy Select Baseball, a non-profit baseball organization dedicated to helping develop and showcase youth talent, today announced their “Premier Showcase Baseball Tournament” to be held Saturday September 15. The event will take place at Dr Pepper Ballpark, home of the Frisco RoughRiders, the Class AA affiliate of the Texas Rangers major league baseball club.
“We are extremely proud to partner with the RoughRiders organization to host this event and give these outstanding young players, who have been developed and trained by three of North Texas’ premier baseball organizations, the opportunity to showcase their knowledge and skills,” said Brian Gaffney, Co-Founder of Academy Select Baseball. “These organizations are committed to mentoring local young athletes, many of whom will be future stars of area high schools, and help them realize their true potential through athletics and life lessons. Many of these players will go on to play at the collegiate level.”
“The RoughRiders are proud to partner with Academy Select Baseball to showcase these nationally ranked teams and support the organization’s efforts to help these athletes develop and refine their skills to advance to the next level,” said Billy Widner, Senior Vice President of the Frisco RoughRiders. “It is exciting to watch these talented young players who represent the future of our sport.”
