Boyd’s Shelley Receives Living For Zachary Scholarship

jordin shelleyMcKinney Boyd Senior Jordin Shelley was one of three recipients of the Living for Zachary Scholarship.  The scholarship was presented to her Friday evening at the Living for Zachary Education Forum at The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano.

Shelley will be attending Texas A&M University in the fall pursuing a degree in biology with plans to continue on to medical school and become a cardiologist.

The Living for Zachary non-profit was started after Zac Schrah, a seemingly healthy 16 year old, collapsed during a high school football practice in Plano on April 2, 2009. The organization is dedicated to raising awareness of sudden cardiac arrest and saving lives through community education.
